Duties and responsibilities
Our client are on the look out for an enthusiastic Accounts Senior with a team player attitude to join their growing team. You will be carrying out a range of duties and responsibilities including but not limited to;

• Preparation of accounts for Limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
• Tax returns and computations preparation
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
• Involvement within the management of semi seniors and assistants
• Managing a portfolio of clients, visiting on site when needed and advising on any queries.

Qualifications and skills required
In order to succeed as an Accounts Senior, you will need to have completed your ACCA or ACA qualification or have at least 3 years experience within a practice firm in the UK. Experience using FRS105 and FRS 102 1a accounts is also preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities of the WIP Controller

• Working to ensure that time entries are resolved and charged accordingly
• Seeking authorisation for edits and time transfers and processed accurately
• Producing bills are accurately raised and submitted for processing
• Raising write offs for unbillable time and disbursements
• Reviewing bills to ensure that they comply with the correct VAT and SAR.
• Raising credit notes where applicable
• Organising overdue debt and chasing where required
• Proactively keeping in regular dialogue with the partners and fee earners to ensure that queries are being managed within the time constraints
• Producing statements and reminder letters
• Looking at reviewing the bad debt provision on a monthly basis and updating accordingly
