Pentagon Talent are partnering with a Top 30 accountancy firm to recruit for a Corporate Tax Manager in their Horsham office. My client work with a range of clients including not for profit organisations, ltd companies and private individuals.They provide a variety of services including but not limited to accounting, outsourcing, financial planning, legal services, audit and forensic accounting.

Duties and responsibilities
As a Corporate Tax Manager you will report directly to the head of corporate tax and ensure clients are fully tax compliant and also identify tax planning opportunities. You will assist UK and international clients structure their affairs tax efficiently, help manage the client relationship to become the trusted business advisor, assist with the managing of CT compliance services to a varied portfolio of corporate clients, review more complex corporation tax returns and computations. You will actively manage a team of five people.

Qualifications and skills required
In order to succeed you must be CTA qualified and have mentored junior staff previously. You will have exposure to international tax and have a good knowledge of UK corporation tax and have a sound grasp of other business taxes.

Key Responsibilities for the Legal Cashier:

• Vigilantly monitor bank accounts to meticulously process incoming payments in accordance with SRA/AML regulations.
• Act as a vital resource for colleagues, offering guidance on payment approvals and ensuring compliance with the firm\'s rigorous standards.
• Collaborate seamlessly with our bank\'s payments team to adeptly resolve any payment discrepancies.
• Expertly manage client account payments and other critical financial transfers.
• Invest surplus funds judiciously in the overnight money market.
• Maintain updated client interest records as necessitated.
• Accurately input Counsel fee notes and extend cover for fellow cashiers when required.

Qualifications and Experience required for the Legal Cashier:

• Proficiency in numerical analysis, accompanied by strong MS Excel skills.
• Prior experience in the legal sector, while advantageous, is not mandatory.
• A minimum of 1 year of pertinent cashiering experience, preferably within a professional services firm.
• Familiarity with 3E is considered an asset but is not a prerequisite.

Qualifications and skills required
In order to succeed in this role you will be AAT/ACCA qualified, have at least two years experience of working in a professional accountancy practice and have managed a portfolio of clients before. Ideally you will have experience preparing limited company accounts and knowledge of Sage, IRIS and Xero.

As a Mixed Tax Senior your main duties will revolve around compliance work including preparation of self-assessment tax returns for individuals, calculating individuals tax liabilities and advising payment of tax due under self-assessment, preparation of capital gains tax computations and making claims for relief under SEIS, EIS and VCT, correspondence (written and verbal) with clients, HMRC and other third parties, preparation of partnership and sole trader tax returns, monitoring the compliance cycle for personal and corporate clients, preparing corporation tax computations and CT600s with capital allowances claims, preparation of P11Ds, PSAs, CIS returns and ERS returns, assisting managers with ad hoc planning and advisory projects, assisting with dealing with HMRC enquiries.

Qualifications and skills required
In order to succeed as a mixed tax senior you will be working towards your CTA qualification and have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience working within the tax industry.
