Duties and responsibilities
As a Mixed Tax Senior your main duties will revolve around compliance work including preparation of self-assessment tax returns for individuals, calculating individuals tax liabilities and advising payment of tax due under self-assessment, preparation of capital gains tax computations and making claims for relief under SEIS, EIS and VCT, correspondence (written and verbal) with clients, HMRC and other third parties, preparation of partnership and sole trader tax returns, monitoring the compliance cycle for personal and corporate clients, preparing corporation tax computations and CT600s with capital allowances claims, preparation of P11Ds, PSAs, CIS returns and ERS returns, assisting managers with ad hoc planning and advisory projects, assisting with dealing with HMRC enquiries.
Qualifications and skills required
In order to succeed as a mixed tax senior you will be working towards your CTA qualification and have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience working within the tax industry.
