Qualified Accountant

Pentagon Talent have partnered with a Magic Circle Law Firm who are actively seeking a skilled qualified Accountant to join the dynamic London Central Finance team. The role involves providing essential financial advice to various Business Teams and ensuring accurate financial records. This role is ideal for someone who is new to industry but previously worked in practice doing audit until qualified.

Key Responsibilities for the Qualified Accountant:

• The Qualified Accountant will keep a close eye on transactions for specific Business Teams, ensuring accurate recording.
• Regular updates on the financial status of Business Teams, with clear explanations of spending trends, will be provided.
• Acting as the main point of contact for Business Teams, the Financial Accountant will assist in understanding the financial landscape and resolving issues.
• Support during budgeting processes, offering advice and guidance to Business Teams.
• Sharing responsibility for training and supporting junior accountants within the team.

Experience Requirements for the Qualified Accountant:

• The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a minimum of 1 year post qualification experience.
• Audit experience is advantageous, and familiarity with statutory accounting procedures is beneficial.
• Experience in month-end tasks, managing accounts, and budgeting is desirable.
• Ability to communicate financial matters clearly and concisely.
• Organised and adept at managing various tasks.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Excel is a plus.

The successful candidate will be joining a friendly team of eight professionals in the London and Global Head Office finance team. The team ensures accurate management accounting, statutory reporting for UK entities, and provides support to Business Teams.
