Credit Controller

Pentagon Talent are partnering with a top 100 UK Law Firm in their search for a Credit Controller to join their Finance Department, where you'll play a crucial role in managing overdue accounts, following up on payments, and ensuring our cash collection processes run smoothly.

The firm works on a hybrid basis of 3 days in the office at a minimum, this role will be based in their London office.

Duties to be undertaken by the Credit Controller:

• Reduce unpaid receivables levels by chasing via telephone, email and letter.
• Identify key client contacts to secure recovery and build and maintain professional relationships with these contacts.
• Proactive reviews of the accounts receivable ledger, making recommendations to reduce debt.
• Support the annual year end process.
• Regular meeting attendance with Partners and Revenue controllers to review accounts receivable.

Ideal Skills for the Credit Controller:

• GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths.
• Previous work in a law firm and essential credit control experience.
• Familiarity with Elite 3E is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, filters, vlookups, "IF" statements, etc.).
• Well-organised, good communicator, reliable, adaptable, and comfortable with phone or virtual meetings.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail and commercial awareness.
