Finance Business Manager

Pentagon Talent have partnered with a leading global top 50 UK legal firm, dedicated to delivering exceptional services to clients worldwide. Their finance team ensures operational efficiency by providing timely financial information and support. You will be working out of their London office on a hybrid working basis.

As the Finance Business Manager, you'll collaborate closely with senior leadership and business leads across the firm's UK Commercial and Healthcare Divisions. Your primary role is to maximise profitability by providing financial guidance and insights. Within the group there are 11 Partners and 102 Fee Earners in which the Finance Business Manager will directly support from a Financial Planning and Analysis and Commercial Business Partnering perspective.

Key Responsibilities for the Finance Business Manager:

• Partner with senior leadership to provide financial guidance.
• Lead annual planning and forecasting for UK teams and clients.
• Analyse commercial performance and provide insights.
• Support strategic decision-making for business development and human resources.
• Mentor and lead the finance team, driving performance.
• Identify process improvements and resolve system issues.
• Prepare profitability analysis and develop action plans.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with finance groups on commercial insights.
• Ensure fair pricing for services.
• Support business cases for laterals or mergers.

Requirements for the Finance Business Manager:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Significant commercial finance experience, preferably in legal sector.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Proven leadership ability.
• Flexibility to work remotely or in our London office.
